Courses after which they take a job. Practical recommendations for those who want to quickly find a job after the course. Ivan Zhivitsa, PR specialist at Wargaming

Ten professions that are not dominated by inflation, sanctions and creative crises.

Interview: Maria Mikulina @MariaMikulina

Yes, difficult times have come. if in one word. The economic crisis, if two. Quite the edge, if in two pathetic words. and creative agencies are closing. Office plankton flocks to the street. Scooter prices skyrocketed, smoothie blood levels dropped. On Facebook, you can only hear: “Reduced! Fired! There are no jobs!”

But this is not true. We intend to prove the opposite to you: there is work, there is. Real man's work. This is always in demand - and in well-fed times, and in a crisis. And this is not an unfounded statement. Meet ten men who know how to make money in any conditions. And take an example from them. Or at least just exclaim: “Wow, well done!”

Electrician

Where to study

Studied for several months professional retraining frames. In general, I graduated from the Institute of Culture and Arts. He worked at, was even a store director, a business coach. Some people like to work in the office, some don't. To me - no.

Where to get clients

I work for DES. Each of the electricians has either its own client base, or foremen with whom you constantly cooperate. The client base develops by itself: a good specialist is always needed.

Initial set

DEZs do not issue anything. However, a large amount of tools for working in the DEZ is not needed, because the work is mainly with the operation of equipment. The tool will cost literally two thousand rubles, if you know what you need.

How in general?

The working day starts at 9 am. Officially. But that doesn't mean you have to be there exactly by nine. You can safely drink coffee without fear of being late. The most important thing is that there are no complaints. Personally, I work in shifts, two after two. I don't like being tied down, I love relative freedom, and here I feel like I'm on a horse. Seen here final result. The light bulb does not light - you changed the light bulb, it caught fire. Immediately satisfaction from own work.

You can have from 70 to 100 thousand rubles a month. The question is where do you live, how do you work. In any case, there is always work and you can always earn a piece of bread. I still remember very clearly the crisis of 2008, when I was not paid for four months in my place in the office wages.

Pechnik

Andrey, 45 years old, Moscow

Where to study

In Moscow, there are courses called - School of Russian Masters. Education - two months, there are full-time and correspondence courses. It costs something around 30 thousand rubles. Then they can take in assistants - the second person, the third person in the team. Courses do not provide practical knowledge. You know the theory, but how in practice ... But the community of stove-makers does not leave its people in trouble. You can choose any of the list - call, ask. Gradually, you learn from your mistakes, from your bumps.

Initial set

The more you plunge into the profession, the more tools you need. And at first you can get by with a grinder, a trowel, nothing else is needed.

How in general?

I have been laying stoves since 2010. There are professions where people earn money. There are professions that people do for the soul. And in this work, you can combine both. All my clients constantly call, congratulate me on all the holidays, invite me to visit: “If you drive by, stop by for tea.”
There is also a negative. Now there are many guest workers everywhere, they do everything. Starting with the construction of fences and digging wells and ending with the construction of houses and the construction of stoves. When you arrive at the facility and find out that you are already the third stove-maker, that the person was burned twice ... But if you know your job, after 5-6 days this negativity disappears and normal relations appear.

At least 100 thousand rubles a month. More than average salary in Moscow.

carpenter

Where to study

I have a secondary special education, I studied after school. You can get a job as an apprentice to the master - usually not very qualified workers go.

Initial set

A basic set of carpenter's tools will cost about 30 thousand rubles.

How in general?

In general, I like the work. I get pleasure. Again, variety: you can make furniture and stairs, especially if you work for yourself. So I just started building a workshop on my site. The only bad thing is the injuries. Well, yes, two days ago I drilled my hand. I'm already used to the fact that for each order a drop of blood is standard. When I make furniture - either a deep splinter, or something else.

If you work for hire, on average you can get 40-50 thousand rubles. And if you yourself, like me, then you can easily receive from 30 to 100 thousand rubles a month, depending on orders. You choose when to rest, when to work. I actually have a higher economic education. But what's the point? Then I will receive the same 30 thousand rubles, but by working all month. And as a carpenter, if I work hard, I can earn them in three days.

Nurse

Where to study

You can not study at all, since often nurses are required without special education. A few years ago I found myself in Moscow without work and housing, and at first it so happened that I contracted to sit with the grandfather of a friend, and then I realized that, in principle, I was satisfied with such a life. I work under private agreements, but there are also agencies where they will train, if necessary, and draw up documents. If you have a medical education, you can do injections, droppers, dressings - you will earn more, although sometimes the difference is very small.

Initial set

All that is needed, including rubber gloves, is provided by the relatives of the ward. All you need is physical strength. And more. Sometimes patients are very full, and they have to be lifted, turned over, and some of them even carried to the bathroom, for example. And if a person has it, then you need to be able to hold him, fix him, if necessary ... It is also important that there is no physical disgust and what I would call good-natured indifference: if you worry too much about the patient, it’s harder for you, but it’s also the last thing to get angry at him, get annoyed .

How in general?

Fine. Of course, you are tied to the place, it is not always possible even to go to the store if there is no replacement. But I am a loner in life, I like to read, watch movies, play games, surf the Internet - and there is enough time for all this. I now have a paralyzed patient who is quite elderly, he sleeps most of the time. You wash him, change his clothes, feed him, give him pills, read something to him aloud, go about your business - and the day has passed.

I have my own room in an apartment, travel card, Internet, full meals and 30 thousand a month for personal expenses. In principle, there is nothing to spend on, I convert almost everything into foreign currency and save it for the future.

crane operator

Where to study

I studied at the company, there were three-month courses. And he immediately got a job there. In general, now there are many courses for crane operators, any licensed institution teaches. I don't want to learn. There are also requirements for candidates, mainly medical ones. Still, we are dealing with different factors: chemical compounds, elevated temperature. Completely pass the medical examination. If healthy in all respects, they give admission to training.

Initial set

The cost of the courses is free. And during the training, you also get paid some kind of salary.

How in general?

This is an interesting job. Mechanisms and pieces of iron are what any man is interested in. Be sure to know the basics of repairing equipment. Work in shifts: there is a morning shift, there is an evening shift. Morning - from 6:30 to 14:00, evening - from 14:00 to 22:00. The actual workload is about half the shift, 4-5 hours.
The first time you study, you work in tandem with a slinger who walks under a crane. It shows the commands you need to understand. Stress, of course, is still there, as it is dangerous: the cable can break at any moment. But you get used to it with time.

The average salary is 40-50 thousand rubles. For our region, this is a very good salary. My wife works in a kindergarten for 10 thousand. The average salary in our city is 30 thousand rubles. So I'm not complaining.

Greenhouse assembler

Where to study

I came to the organization when I knew nothing, and I was trained. They saw the enthusiasm and took me. The main thing is to have a desire to learn. Started working in 2005, the work was related to glazing. Now for several years I have been engaged in greenhouses.

How in general?

If I didn't like the job, I would look for something more interesting. I think a person should always strive for the best. The number of orders depends on the season. In the spring, the snow melts - everyone leaves for the gardens, they start ordering greenhouses. But, in principle, in winter there is a demand for greenhouses: they are cheaper out of season. If you engage in glazing in different directions, then you can keep yourself busy all year round. The working day can start very early - sometimes you have to wake up, for example, at four in the morning. Hours of operation are not standardized. I adhere to this principle: "If a person does not find time for rest, he will find time for treatment." Weekends are a must with the family, family comes first. In general, I have time to relax.

The average salary of an assembly worker, if we take our region, is about 40 thousand rubles. This is quite enough for our places. During the season you can earn more. There are a lot of wrong things going on in our region when it comes to work. They don't pay salaries to people. At my old place of work, in a different specialty, I still owe money. Now I am much calmer financially.

plumber

Where to study

I have been in the profession for over five years. I did not finish the course, I studied along the way. I consulted with the guys and coached myself, so to speak.

Initial set

A basic set of plumbing tools is at least 40–50 thousand rubles. You also need a power tool: a puncher, a grinder.

How in general?

In general, I like the work: I am my own boss. At least I haven't found anything better yet. My working day starts at six in the morning, because I live in the Moscow region, and I work in Moscow - it takes a lot of time to get to the object. But it all depends on the order - if anything, I can later. The main negative in the work: misunderstanding with the customer. Fortunately, this doesn't happen often.

We work piecework, month after month is not necessary. On average - from 70 thousand rubles a month.

Groomer

Where to study

I studied for three months at the Master Groom firm in St. Petersburg. To sit on the tail of a specialist - now there is no such thing. Lots of courses and seminars. Within a year you become a normal groomer. Training is not everything, experience is needed.

Where to get clients

Our firm has a VKontakte page, and I have a VKontakte page. For example, people walk with dogs: “Where did you cut your hair so beautifully?” - "Over there." - "Okay, give me the phone number." Word of mouth is stable.

Initial set

Desire and understanding that this is a physically and psychologically difficult profession.

Lack of experience is, without a doubt, the main argument that many employers put forward to applicants, refusing employment. Many, but not all: for some, the priority is not so much the skills, abilities and deep knowledge, but the motivation of the future employee and his desire to “move mountains”. How to quickly find suitable job after 2-3 months of training in courses and how to behave in order to join the ranks of representatives of the profession you like?

What to expect from IT-sphere

Against the backdrop of the demand for IT specialties, the competition in this market is colossal. Therefore, a basic course, such as computer literacy or AutoCAD, is often not enough. In addition to the basics, it’s better to get trained at an “advanced”, in-depth level, and if possible, practice in an IT laboratory. It’s good if you can also complete English courses: in the future, salaries will be significantly higher, and employers will be more loyal.

It is better to start gaining experience with the profession of a tester, even if you have learned to be a programmer. Some companies, instead of entrance tests or technical interviews, offer to pass test "laboratories": according to their results, you can be hired. You should not refuse either such a practice or other training activities. Preference is always given to purposeful, ready to work and develop - much more often than experienced, with a diploma, but without initiative.

  1. Graduates of the hairdressing school are better off looking for establishments with a large flow of people. Many of them take young professionals who will be able to immediately establish themselves as "intelligent". The main thing is to pay close attention to your own appearance, manner of speaking and style in general.
  2. If you graduated from a massage school, but you do not have a medical education, do not rush to despair. You can work for yourself by opening a small private office, or in a not very “promoted” salon. In this area, the main thing is to start practicing and earn positive recommendations, and then finding clients will no longer be your concern.
  3. Find out in advance what the company is doing - your future employer. Study the successes and achievements, and at the interview share your vision of its development. For example, graduates of warehouse logistics courses will certainly have something to offer in order to increase the profitability of a particular warehouse.
  4. If, after a two-month retraining, you are looking for a job as a personnel manager, office manager or sales assistant, you should not hide the fact that before that you worked, for example, for 5/10/15 years as an accountant/teacher/waiter, etc. Tell us about this fact with pride, listing all the knowledge and skills that you possess. In the eyes of the employer, you will look like a responsible person, ready to devote yourself to your profession, including a new one.

Regardless of the specialty, tune in for some more time to attend trainings and do any work within the framework of new profession. This will help you gain experience faster before reaching the desired level. Self-education - regular reading of specialized literature and keeping track of new products in your industry - will also sooner or later bear fruit.

Practice shows that when selecting personnel, most managers are guided not only by the presence of a diploma and the professional level of the applicant, but also by his personality. Third-party experience, motivation and “glitter in the eyes” matter. Therefore, keep a positive attitude and boldly apply for the desired position. Everyone started sometime, and a vivid confirmation of this is the career of many successful managers, marketers, designers, hairdressers, etc., which started exactly like this: with good specialized courses.

“If you don’t study, you’ll go to work as a janitor!” Many of us in childhood were scared by parents or teachers with this phrase. Perhaps that is why the professions of a janitor and a cleaner are In second place due to "unpopularity" among the Russians. At the same time, these are perhaps the most famous professions that can be mastered without even graduating from a technical school. The same category includes work as a loader, courier, newspaper peddler, cloakroom attendant, janitor, watchman, conductor, promoter, car washer, dishwasher, call center operator ... But this is far from a complete list.

Despite the fact that the profession of a salesperson, cashier, seamstress, baker, painter, waiter, for example, can be obtained at a college, technical school or courses, it is possible to perform duties in these specialties without vocational education. This is evidenced by numerous job advertisements for applicants without experience and without special education. The fact is that such working professions can be mastered directly on the spot, especially if the organization is ready to train a new worker in the necessary skills.

Those who have the talents of a musician, singer, artist or photographer (with talent, and not just with a camera) can also start earning money without graduating from college or university. You can start building a career right after school or even during your studies. At the same time, thanks to creativity you can lead to great success in this area. For example, world-famous actors Tom Hanks, Harrison Ford, Bill Murray once dropped out of college (in specialties far from acting) for the first roles.

However, not for everyone creative professions one talent is enough. In order to build a career as a journalist, TV or radio host, it will not be superfluous to get higher education, albeit not in the specialty. After all, these people must be erudite and be able to competently and harmoniously express their thoughts orally or in writing. The same applies to the managerial profession.

Judging by the ads on specialized sites, employers most often post vacancies in the following professions marked “without specific training” or “without education”:

  • loader,
  • janitor/janitor
  • courier,
  • secretary (administrator, personal assistant),
  • sales manager, customer service manager,
  • shop assistant,
  • Sales Representative,
  • call center operator (taxi dispatcher),
  • driver,
  • waiter,
  • security guard
  • copywriter
  • promoter
  • finisher.

Apparently, due to a shortage of personnel, some organizations are ready to hire even nurses and educators “without special education”.

Article from the blog of one of the users.

In many ways, the idealistic article of 2014 is the time of peak demand for the profession of a programmer. And, nevertheless, realistic notes slip through it. I have singled out such paragraphs where the truth “strikes the eye”.

Alluring salary - up to $ 4,000, huge demand - there are 5 open vacancies per programmer. Such arguments are given on the websites of today's popular courses, which promise to make a person an indispensable specialist in the field of IT in a short time. The bread of a programmer has never seemed so easy and affordable.

In 2014, according to the results of the first half of the year, the average salary in the IT sector was 17,188,372 rubles, or about $1,620. With such a middle, the “ceiling” seems completely transcendental. It is not surprising that there are more and more people who want to retrain as IT specialists.

In addition to specialized faculties of universities, programmers and testers are now trained in numerous educational courses. Their duration rarely exceeds 2-3 months. During this time, students are invited to complete one educational level, for example, to get acquainted with the basics of programming in C ++, Java or PHP.

Then you can continue studying or try to find a job. Some training centers guarantee employment, others limit themselves to general phrases from the category: “Demand for programmers is growing every year”, “In case of successful completion of trainings, we make every effort to help with employment.” On average, the price of one course ranges from 1.5 to 3 million rubles.

It is curious that a number of training centers do not specialize in training IT specialists. Along with programming courses, you can take a design, beauty or needlework school. Standing apart are training programs from leading IT companies in Belarus, which have a clear specialization and focus on internal staffing needs.

Unsuccessful experience: "Somewhere in the middle swam"

29-year-old Dmitry Burak graduated from BNTU with a degree in information technology". He worked as a storekeeper, sales manager, a few years ago got a job in the technical support of an Internet provider. I decided to take programming courses in order to "test my abilities for affordable money." I chose one of the most popular areas today - "the basics of java programming". The entire course lasted 40 hours - 2 lessons per week.

“I thought: what if I immediately start to understand everything cool and in a year earn three mowers,” Dmitry ironically. But it turned out that it is unlikely. Of course, I reached the end of the courses, because the money has already been paid. But somewhere in the middle, he “floated”, generally stopped understanding what they were talking about. Perhaps more time should have been devoted to this.

Dmitry remembers those who took a course with him on one of the most popular programming languages today. The group brought together representatives of various professions: an emergency doctor who, a month before the start of the course, got a job as a tester in one of the companies, a sales manager with a forgotten engineering education, a system administrator who was "tired of climbing under tables", an experienced programmer who knows how to languages and who wished to pull up java. A young girl diluted the male company in the first classes with her presence, but by the end of the first month, Dmitry says, she disappeared.

At the end of the course, all students passed the final test extremely poorly. After the retake, Dmitry Burak was no longer interested in the results. Assessing the time spent on the courses, he admits that the knowledge gained was not useful in life.

Nevertheless, the interlocutor does not consider the classes useless for everyone.

- Who really wants to learn, it makes sense to apply. Our teacher, for example, was always online on Skype. You could ask for advice at any time. As for employment, we were immediately told that it was not enough to pass the basic level alone. Now, if you pass three courses, pass the exam well, then employment is possible.

Future programmers: “I’ll probably agree to 6 million”

For successful examples, we went straight to the courses. The Bigsoft Training Center, unlike most other IT courses, does not guarantee mandatory employment for graduates. Here they offer training in a number of areas: testing, java programming, JavaScript and AJAX basics, PHP basics, Android development, etc. We talked with the audience and found out how they plan to use the acquired knowledge in practice.

Most of the audience in which java programming was studied turned out to be corporate clients- they were sent to courses from the company in which they work. Only a few people came to study on their own.

Dina Nazarchuk- 3rd year student of BSUIR. Passes programming at the university, but decided to deepen her knowledge of the java language on her own.

– This is the most popular and frequently used development language today. At the university, the course has just begun. I would like to develop further, so I came here. I don't think about salaries yet.

Alexey Lysenok- 3rd year student of Belarusian State University. I came to the conclusion that the material that is given at the university is not enough.

- Self-education in this area is necessary. While I'm not working yet, but I'm going to look soon. Salary is not the most important factor for me now. I can start with 200 and 300 dollars.

Artem graduated from BSUIR with a degree in engineering, and now he is working on distribution at Integral. I am categorically not satisfied with the salary, so I decided to look for myself in another area. As soon as the work is over, he plans to get a job as a programmer. He does not want to advertise his plans to the leadership yet, so he refused to be photographed.

– I am familiar with programming in HTML and CSS, but I want to learn higher-level languages ((from the pastor) these are not programming languages \u200b\u200b- this is markup language and cascading style sheets. Where is this person now? Interesting even). You could say I'm starting from scratch. At school, I liked programming, I decided that it interests me, that I can and want to work in this area. When I entered the university, unfortunately, I thought about something else… Starting salary? For 6 million, I'll probably agree.

Future testers: “Willing to work for $300, but not for long”

At the testing courses, there were significantly more people who decided to retrain. Many of them refused to be photographed and give comments: “We have another job, you never know how life will turn out.”

Olga, 21 years old, studying biology. He does not plan to work in his specialty. I decided to go into the IT field on the advice of friends. Owns a computer at the "user" level.

- I have already transferred to the correspondence department, biology is an alternate airfield for me. I want to get a job immediately after the end of the course, that is, after 2 months. Of course, we were immediately warned that there would be a lot of competition and that you would have to work hard to get hired. The starting salary with which I am ready to start is $ 300. I am ready to work for this money, but not for long, - the interlocutor laughs. - This is only the third lesson, I still have an understanding, I evaluate myself well. But the more you know, the more you realize that you don't know anything.

Oleg Salei, 24 years. He studies at the BNTU at the correspondence department, works as a loader. Tried to learn programming on my own. But in the courses I preferred to study testing.

- I will unlearn - and I will immediately try to get a job. Until I gain experience, I am ready to work for 300-500 dollars. But, of course, he is not ready to live on this money for several years. I think that the salary will grow much faster.

Valentina (name changed) agreed to talk, but refused to be photographed. She designs communication networks, but sees no further prospects in her profession.

- The salary ceiling in my area is 1.5 thousand, I earn less, but not 500. The ceiling in testing is much higher. The minimum from which I am ready to start is the same “five hundred”. I know where I'm going, familiar with the work of a tester. In 2 months I plan to try to get a job somewhere.

Beginner programmer salary starts at $200

It turned out that the director of the training center, Igor Shumsky, once also retrained from an accountant to an IT specialist, having completed similar courses. But he couldn't get a job. For some time he worked as a freelancer, and then he decided to start training IT specialists himself.

Perhaps one of the reasons for creating the courses was resentment for the deceit that I had experienced in my time. In class, no one paid attention to me. Since I had never been involved in IT before, it was hard for me, I wanted the coach to devote more time to me during the lesson.

Igor Shumsky opened his training center in 2011. He invited an active programmer with 10 years of experience in using the java language as a trainer, who developed the program.

- We opened when there was an economic crisis in the world, and a lot of people poured into programming courses. Of course, among them there were many who did not understand at all what it was, what it was for, and went to the courses solely for material reasons. In the first six months, we noticed that about 20-30 percent of people drop out, that is, they simply do not reach the end of the course. Therefore, our task was to reduce the number of random people to a minimum. Today, in our group, units do not reach the end of classes.

Igor Shumsky assures that, despite the possible promises of coaches, after passing the first level (2-3 months) it is almost impossible to get a job. He compares the basics of programming to learning the alphabet. To work successfully, you need to master not the syntax, but the technologies. According to the expert, for this you need to go through at least 3 levels - the basics, the advanced course and the IT laboratory (practical work). And even this does not guarantee successful employment: a person must be highly motivated, with well-developed logical thinking. But for testing, sometimes one level is enough.

A separate issue concerns salaries. People who come to courses are often sure that in a few months they will be able to count on a thousand dollars or more. The specialist gives his figures.

- I know that many hang noodles on their ears. In reality, if you have good English, have a technical education and have successfully completed courses, you can get a job as a programmer for about 400-500 dollars. And the age is desirable to be up to 30 years. Without technical education and language, the salary can start as low as $200. A tester who retrained from another specialty, without a good knowledge of English, can also count on a maximum of $ 200-300 (from the start). If there is English, it can be 400-700 dollars.

Igor Shumsky emphasizes that there is no need to be afraid of these figures, because we are talking about the start of a career.

– Our graduate, who completed a java course a year ago, started with a salary of $300 in a large international company. Exactly one year has passed. Now he has 1600 dollars. But this is a person who is deeply motivated, that is, he constantly studies, receives additional education. We had builders, accountants, economists who later managed to find work. And there are those who, having subsequently settled down as a programmer, quit their jobs and returned to the area from which they left. You need to understand from the outset that not everyone can work as a programmer. I always advise those who are far from the IT sphere to start their journey in the profession with testing.

Example of success: “I was ready to go to work for free”

Tatyana Zhvalik, senior tester at iTechArt.

An economist by education, she graduated from Narkhoz in 2008. According to the distribution, she worked in a department store, first as a seller, administrator, then as an accountant. I did not see any prospects for myself in trade, so in 2011 I decided to change the field of activity. I heard about the profession of a tester from my friends. He believes that programming requires very deep technical knowledge and it is better to get it at specialized faculties.

After a 2-month testing course, I sent out resumes to various companies. She was invited to EPAM with an offer to take a test laboratory with subsequent employment (regular courses, but already free). Tatyana Zhvalik was lucky: after the interview, she was immediately taken to the project. About a month has passed since the end of the course - such a result surprised even the trainer of the training center.

- I got into a financial project. And since I am an economist by training, the manager thought that I could handle this job. And it also seems to me that during the interview it was read on my face that I was ready to work even for free, if only they would take me.

Tatyana Zhvalik started with $400, which was somewhat less than the usual accounting salary. Six months later, she was promoted to "mid-specialist". And six months later, she moved to the iTechArt company, where she has already “grown up” to a senior tester and receives decent money for this.

– A person must understand that at the very beginning he knows nothing and can’t do anything, and he still needs to learn for a long time. I went to all the trainings that I was signed up for, took on any job at all, just to gain experience, I tried to read specialized literature at home. In fact, efforts in this area never go unnoticed. But everyone's salary is different. If a person expects that he will simply press one button and that his salary will be raised every six months, then this is not so. You need to work a lot on yourself.

Specialists of top IT companies: there are few professionals without specialized education

Alena Babenko, HR Manager at EPAM Systems:

– Despite the fact that we still focus on graduates and students of technical specialties, students of other specialties also have a chance to get a job with us. About 2 years ago, EPAM opened the first IT laboratory in a non-technical university - at the Minsk State Linguistic University, where students receive software testing training. Prior to this, students from non-technical faculties also came to our courses - they entered based on the results of interviews and entrance tests. After completing the training program in the company's laboratories, we offer employment to most of the graduates.

The attitude towards courses outside our laboratories among my colleagues is professional. People also work there, who then come to the IT field, and thus the choice of us, employer companies, is growing. In my opinion, the personal qualities of the trainees who come to the trainings have a decisive role. There can be chic courses, very qualified teachers, but if a person is initially not inclined to testing or programming (scattered, unable to concentrate, does not have perseverance and attention), for him the certificate will be just a piece of paper.

The process of hiring from the market, I mean those who have completed some courses and are in a free search, is completely transparent and open. The list of vacancies is posted on our website. If the applicant sees that he fits the list of requirements and skills, he can calmly (and confidently!) Apply on a general basis. The professional level is checked during entrance tests and technical interviews. Cases when people came to IT from other areas are now not so rare. I wouldn't say there are many, but there are. I would say that this once again proves that it is never too late to learn.

Veronika Kesova, Director of Viber Media in Belarus:

- Frankly speaking, we do not hire people immediately after the courses, because we are looking for only "seniors", very experienced people. Experience matters, not specialized education as such. If a person has a lot of experience behind him, but only courses from education, we will consider his candidacy. We have such unique people, however, only a few people.

In general, today there is still a shortage of good specialists, despite the abundance of graduates of specialized faculties and IT courses. After all, we must not forget about the demand, how crazy it is and how many IT companies we have in Minsk and in Belarus in general. So I don't know how long it will take for the hype to subside even a little. So far, the market is developing faster than specialists of the proper level are being produced.

Ivan Zhyvitsa, PR specialist at Wargaming:

- It all depends not so much on the courses, but on the skills that a specialist generally has. In short, we look rather not so much at the professional level, which, of course, is important, but rather at the person as a whole. Here, psychology is more appreciated, a person’s desire to work in our company and some third-party experience behind him. You need to gain some experience, most often in freelancing, or bring some specific proposals, how this person sees himself in the company, what he wants to change, what he wants to offer.
