Today, as in times past, the nurse, on whose fragile shoulders the main burdens of caring for the sick fall, is a stronghold of morality and humanism in modern medicine.

The work of a nurse is very difficult both physically and mentally. Only truly strong in spirit, patient, kind, sensitive and sympathetic remain in this profession. No wonder nurses used to be called sisters of mercy. Healthy people are not put in hospitals, and where there is pain, there is suffering. Nurses not only follow the instructions of the attending doctor, but also help patients cope with suffering.

The Sisters of Mercy undoubtedly deserve their own holiday - a day when special attention is paid to them. When they talk a lot about this profession, they say a lot of kind words about nurses and even give them gifts. And there is such a holiday - Nurse's Day is celebrated annually around the world on May 12.

Reader.

Here again the long-awaited dawn has come,

You walk through the hospital ward through groans and sighs.

You smile so that every patient again lives with hope, faith,

Even if only drops and crumbs remained of them.

There is a high calling in life -

Be a nurse!

It contains care, love, compassion,

It contains both pity and self-sacrifice!

Your hands have saved and will save thousands more lives,

And they are needed by all hospital patients.

And today, of course, it is not superfluous to say -

The kindness of a nurse for a patient knows no bounds.

And you believe that everything is not in vain,

Though sleepless nights and hard work at times.

Life becomes bright, and it's wonderful,

When fears and pain are behind, when death conquers the sick.

Lead 1. Every year on May 12, International Nurses Day is celebrated. A good tradition, which in our country has recently gained its new life, united on this day nurses of different profiles, different ages, different destinies, from different cities and countries, various institutions and retired people. Flowers, congratulations, good wishes, touching memories, festive concert performances - all this is inherent in such an event.

Slide #2

Lead 2. And why is this professional holiday celebrated on May 12? The date was not chosen by chance - May 12, 1820 is the birthday of the famous Englishwoman Florence Nightingale, who during the Crimean War (1853 - 1856) organized the world's first service of sisters of mercy.

Lead 1. Florence Nightingale was born on May 12, 1820 in Florence. In the middle of the 19th century, during the heyday of the British Empire, life was difficult for ordinary people. If the rich representatives of the upper classes were drowning in luxury, then the poor had to fight for survival every day. At that time, it was assumed that the destiny of a woman was to stay at home and take care of children. Only the poorest women worked, unable to make ends meet without it. nursing was considered bad job because they had to work in terrible conditions and for a penny.

Slide #3

Lead 2 .Attitude towards nurses has changed thanks to Florence Nightingale. Born into a wealthy family, she began to help the sick, suffering from various diseases. Nightingale felt it was not enough to do ordinary charity, and she went to the Crimean War in order to provide medical care wounded. Her efforts not only led to a significant reduction in mortality in hospitals, but also made a real revolution in hygiene when caring for the sick.

Lead 1. In the 19th century, this seemed like an unheard-of challenge to the foundations of the then society. Nursing - how low and dirty! Florence Nightingale had to overcome the discontent of her relatives and the hostility of many male doctors. However, this amazing woman, having shown perseverance, made a real revolution in the medical service.

Slide #4

Lead 2. The legendary Englishwoman Florence Nightingale, in Notes on Nursing, published in 1859, singled out two areas in nursing - care for the sick and care for the healthy; gave a definition of nursing; showed the difference between nursing and medical; conducted an analysis of the influence of sanitary and hygienic factors on the state of health.

Slide #5

Presenter 1 . In 1860, Florence Nightingale organized the world's first nursing school at St Thomas' Hospital in London. The selection for nursing school was the strictest. The sisters were provided with full food, housing and pocket money, but each of them was subject to a strict behavior protocol. If a sister was noticed in unscrupulous care of the sick, rude treatment, or anything else reprehensible, she was immediately expelled from the school and hospital.

Lead 2. The sisters of mercy, leaving school, pronounced a solemn oath composed by Florence Nightingale, in which were these words: "With all my strength I will strive to help the doctor in his work and devote myself to ensuring the health of those who turned to me for help."

Lead 1. The selfless woman became an example of service to people and a prototype of international mercy. Her merit was the struggle for the reform of the medical service system in the British army and the transformation of the nursing service into a serious, respected profession based on the development of special training programs and the presentation of high professional requirements to the work of nurses.

Slide #6

Lead 2. In 1912, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies established the Florence Nightingale Medal "For true mercy and concern for people, admirable for all mankind." This award is the most honorable for sisters of mercy anywhere in the world.
Slide number 7

Lead 1. The profession of a nurse is very important and in demand today, because the nurse performs most of the doctor's appointments, spends the most time with the patient, providing him with all kinds of assistance, trying to alleviate the course of the disease. The nurse is "the legs of the legless", "the eyes of the blind", the child's support, the source of knowledge and confidence for the young mother, the mouth of those "who are too weak and self-absorbed to speak."

Lead 2. Have you ever wondered why women in this profession are called sisters? And this word took root for the reason that the first nurses appeared thanks to the church. So in this case“sister” is not a related, but a spiritual concept.

Love is immeasurable too

Immeasurable helping hand

Slide #9

When trouble catches you by surprise:

You are unwell, your appearance is very bad -

They give everyone their warmth,

They were given a name - sisters of mercy.

Slide #10

Their help seems to be aside,

Their help seems to be imperceptible,

But in the rear and in the war

They fought relentlessly.

Slide #11

Covering the wounded from bullets,

Forgetting about rest and sleep,

They saved someone's life at times,

And then they didn't come home.

Slide #12

Lead 1. Since ancient times, the labor of women has been used to care for babies, the elderly and the sick. In the history of Russia there are reliable documents according to which female labor was used by the state- for the care of the wounded in hospitals and infirmaries under Peter 1.

Slide #13

By his decree in 1715, educational homes were created in which women were to serve. However, the recruitment of women to work in hospitals was soon cancelled. The role of nurses was assigned to retired soldiers. Women's labor in civilian hospitals was re-used only in the middle of the 18th century. It was carried out by female nurses, who were the wives or widows of hospital soldiers.

Slide number 14.

Lead 2. In 1814, on the personal order of Empress Maria Feodorovna, women from among the workers of the St. Petersburg widow's house were invited and sent to medical institutions to care for and look after patients. After a one-year probationary period, on March 12, 1815, 16 of the 24 invited widows took the oath and received from the hands of the Empress a sign specially established for this occasion - the Golden Cross with the inscription "philanthropy."

In 1818, the “Institute for Compassionate Widows” was established in Moscow, and courses for the training of nurses were organized at many hospitals and hospitals.

Slide number 15.

Lead 1. In 1844, the first Holy Trinity Community of Sisters of Mercy in Russia was founded in St. Petersburg. It was from this moment that the training of female medical staff in Russia reached a new qualitative level. The initiative to found this community came directly from Grand Duchess Alexandra Nikolaevna and Princess Theresa of Oldenburg.

Slide number 16.

Lead 2. All women who decided to devote themselves to the noble cause of helping the sick were appointed probation lasting 1 year, in case of successful completion of which they were accepted as sisters of mercy in an atmosphere of a solemn official ceremony.

Slide number 17.

According to the charter of the Holy Trinity community, the sisters of mercy were not supposed to own any property, including their own clothes, or even a meager amount of money. It stipulated the following: “Everything that a sister can receive for her services in gifts or money belongs to the community” (the community existed mainly on donations from various charities). At the slightest violation of these rules, the sister was expelled from the community, but there has never been a single such case in history!

Slide number 18.

Presenter 1 . The largest community of sisters of mercy in Russia, the world's first organization of women's assistance in war was created on the initiative of prof. Medical and Surgical Academy of Nikolai Ivanovich Pirogov under the auspices of led. kng. Elena Pavlovna in connection with the beginning of the Crimean War. The founding date of the community is considered to be September 14 (27), 1854, when the twelfth feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross is celebrated.

Slide number 19.

Lead 2 . The first head (sister-priest) of the community was the captain's widow Alexandra Petrovna Stakhovich, who, however, poorly coped with her duties.

Slide number 20.

On October 20, 1855, she was replaced in this post by the more energetic and experienced Ekaterina Alexandrovna Khitrovo, the head of the "compassionate widows" in Odessa.

On February 2, 1856, when she died of typhus, the leadership of the community, on the recommendation of N. I. Pirogov, passed to Ekaterina Mikhailovna Bakunina, and Elizaveta Petrovna Kartseva became her deputy.

Lead 1. The hard work of the sisters of mercy cannot be overestimated: they worked 20 hours a day, despite the terrible conditions of the front line, constant shelling, cholera and typhus. The inherent cleanliness and accuracy of the sisters, as well as a beneficial moral influence, allowed them to nurse the wounded, who, no doubt, would simply be doomed without the care of the “sisters,” as the soldiers affectionately called the sisters of mercy. The example of these women inspired the Russian public: a huge number of people expressed their desire to provide all possible material assistance, and many Russian women wished to join the ranks of the sisters of mercy.

Slide number 21.

Lead 2. On May 15, 1867, Emperor Alexander II approved the charter of the Society for the Care of the Wounded and Sick Soldiers, which in 1876 was renamed the Russian Red Cross Society (ROKK).

Slide number 22.

Lead 2 . After the 1917 revolution in Russia, not only the authorities, the principles of the state structure, but also ethical norms, ideas about morality and morality underwent changes. The institute of sisters of mercy, which in the eyes of the Bolsheviks was closely connected with religion and the royal family, was also subject to demolition.

However, the new government could not completely abandon the sisterhood. Already by the end of the XIX century. it became obvious that women are indispensable in the role of junior and middle medical personnel. During the period under review, the last stage of the rebirth of sisters of mercy into modern nurses took place, the sisterhood became a profession.

Slide number 23.

Lead 1. First medical schools in the Republic of Soviets appeared in 1920, at the same time, programs for the training of midwives and nurses were developed and adopted for implementation.

Those humble hands saved you

They served mercy.

They radiated goodness and, keeping care,

We lived through these days with you.

In the burnt trenches, in blizzard and frost,

Frontal adversity and heat,

They did not spare themselves in the midst of grief and tears

That anxious military time.

So heartily and simply those words sound:

"nurse, nurse, sister"

But how much warmth and care they keep

Mother's hands of kindness!

Truly golden hands of a sister

Bring you relief

From colds and pain, from any trouble,

From burns, suffering and wounds.

Nurse, you are a reliable doctor's assistant,

I praise your righteous work,

Let it burn, not sparing itself, a candle,

But patients with that light live!

Competition "My profession is my future" My profession is a nurse Author: first-year student of the State Budget educational institution secondary vocational education "Yeisk Medical College of the Department of Health of the Krasnodar Territory" Radchenko Natalya Supervisor: teacher Guseynov V.A. Recently, health workers have ceased to be respected, as it was before. A living example is the series "Interns" This series condemns the corruption and ignorance of health workers. We sometimes forget to whom we owe, maybe not to everyone, but certainly to many. After all, in their hands we see the world for the first time. From their touch, we take our first breath. They always fight for our lives, sometimes stronger than ourselves. A nurse is a soul, first of all.

  • The clearest example of this is Florence Nightingale, an Englishwoman who during the Crimean War became the founder of the service of sisters of mercy. She supervised the women assisting the wounded soldiers. This great woman collected donations to create a nursing school, later opened at St. Thomas Hospital (London).
  • It is no coincidence that the Russians celebrate
  • World Nurse's Day May 12 - that's when Florence was born. Also this date is the day of creation professional organization sisters of mercy from different countries peace.
  • The current society cannot be imagined without health workers. Maybe there are bad doctors, rude nurses, but they make up a small part of those people who are really Health Workers with a capital letter.
She is slightly in the shadow of the attending physician. Half a step away in her status, but this distance shortens the distance between her and the patient. She is a nurse. And in the matter of nursing the patient, she is the main one. What qualities should a nurse have?
  • First of all, diligence.
  • Purity, external and internal, modesty.
  • Learn to empathize with others.
  • The nurse is obliged to behave in such a way that the patient can trust her completely, not embarrassed by any manipulation and procedure. At work, she should be able to forget about herself, about her household worries and problems, and always be close to the patient.
  • In the process of healing, in my opinion, all links are equally important, and if the doctor's job is to treat the pathology, then the nurse's job is to help the patient psychologically cope with the disease.
  • This profession is really hard work, but when you see the faces of happy discharged patients, it's a great joy!
Childhood dreams
  • They say that thoughts are material, and the fact that a person
  • most often she says what she dreams about, it will definitely come true.
  • Every time I saw a nurse or a doctor in a snow-white coat, I imagined myself in their image, in the image of a nurse - a sorceress saving people.
  • Yes, thoughts are material, now I know for sure, because in the near future my childhood dream will come true and I will become a nurse.
  • And let me not be a sorceress from children's dreams,
  • But I will definitely help people!
Why do I want to become a nurse?
  • First, I want to help people. When you are in the hospital, you always lack warmth, participation, affectionate words. The nurse is more with the sick than the doctor, and she can comfort the sick.
  • Secondly, I myself will need it in my life. When I have a family, children, I will be able to provide them with the most basic medical care. I will be able to professionally take care of my parents - after all, they, too, someday will grow old.
  • In general, for each of us, specialists who are responsible for our lives are very important - doctors.
  • The nurse is the legs of the legless, the eyes of the blind, the support of the child, the source of knowledge and confidence for the young mother, the mouth of those who are too weak or self-absorbed to speak.
  • Virginia Henderson.
There is probably no point in arguing about how necessary, important, beautiful the profession of a nurse is.
  • Sincerity, emotional culture, the ability to perceive the experiences of one's neighbor, upbringing in responsibility, a sincere understanding of one's duty to other people, the realization that only you and it is you who can and should help a sick person gain the fullness of existence, i.e. to become healthy - these are the moral indicators necessary, in my opinion, for people who have chosen this profession.
  • Impossible without nurses -
  • Without your gentle, kind hands, Carefully touching the wounds, They remove fear from the faces of the sick,
  • Without your full eyes of attention,
  • Without your words of encouragement... All of you are full of charm, All of you are worthy of admiration!
  • How dexterous bees scurry,
  • To whom - an injection, to whom - to drink, You carry the warmth of your soul, Not daring to forget the sick.
  • You are the embodiment of care
  • With any contact you have sick And on Sunday and Saturday you disperse the pain like smoke,
  • With your heartfelt attention,
  • And those with support who are without power, In endless movement ... Oh, nurses, how sweet you are!

“What was done by Soviet military medicine during the years of the last war, in all fairness, can be called a feat. For us, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, the image of a military doctor will remain the personification of high humanism, courage and selflessness.

Most doctors are women, mothers, sisters, daughters. The main burden of military everyday life fell on their shoulders, because almost the entire male population was at the forefront. Medical women. Their share fell tests no less than the soldiers on the front lines. So much courage, courage, fearlessness they showed! Old people and children, the wounded and the disabled, the weak and the sick - everyone needed the help of a nurse and a sanitary combatant. And every fighter and commander felt it in battle, knowing that there was a sister nearby, a fearless person who would not leave you in trouble, would provide first aid in any conditions, drag you to shelter, carry you out in a difficult moment on yourself, hide from the bombing on my way.

Slide 8

“... Comrade Verozubova carried over 200 wounded from the battlefield and provided them with first aid. Participating in a tank assault on the battlefield, she bandaged 40 wounded soldiers. Three times wounded did not leave the battlefield. “..I, a young nurse, under bombing and shelling, had to bandage wounds on the battlefield, find those who were breathing, find help and save, drag a heavy soldier with weak girlish hands to the dressing station ... On the way, they came under bombing, walking the wounded were able to jump out and run into the woods. The seriously wounded screamed with fear, I calmed them down as best I could, running from car to car. Luckily the bombs didn't hit. Now the life of all the wounded depended on the girl. She had, without hesitation, to help a person save his life, without hesitation, she said: “Take blood from me as much as necessary,” and in return received words of gratitude and letters.
